Pam Cox
Colchester parent, educator, city councillor, local champion
Colchester has been my home for the last 25 years. It has a rich history and deserves a bright future. But the Conservatives are letting our city–and our country–down. It’s time for change.
We see and feel the effects every day: costs are rising, real wages are falling, NHS waiting lists are getting longer, businesses are under pressure and public services are being stretched to the limit.
I will stand up for local people and work as hard as I can to get Colchester thriving again. With a Labour government, we can create long-term solutions for the issues that matter most to you and your family.
I raised my family here in Colchester and sent my children to local state schools. I teach at the University of Essex and serve as a city councillor for New Town and Christ Church. My mum was a midwife, and my father was a church minister. They taught me the values of public service and as your MP I will put them into practice.
