The truth remains Colchester will need to continue to build housing that adapts to it’s residents.
The proposed demand from government is for Colchester to increase its target annual build by 600 units to 1600, moving away from the local plan of 920 new homes.
It is vital that Colchester continues with progressive vision of the local plan which ensures the building of sustainable developments, such as the proposed Garden Community and housing that takes in to account the needs of that resident.
Colchester Labour will continue to fight for housing that is supported by infrastructure, building communities for the long term and protecting local residents from the lack of planning that can unfold with speculative developments but we need your feedback
